More From The CBC: Interview With James McGurk

CBC Newsworld has just interviewed former prosecutor James McGurk. He believes that Judge St. Eve will be “extraordinarily careful” with regard to procedure; as a result, the trial might very well be longer than 4 months. Jeffrey Cramer will, in Csr. McGurk's opinion, use a narrative – a “road map” – which includes the much-talked about graphics in his opening statement. For the defense's, in Csr. McGurk's anticipation, Eddie Genson will probably go on the attack, but he will not dispute the facts of the case. Judge St. Eve will tell the jury not to take each opening argument that seriously. He concluded by noting that the prosecution has to assume the burden of making the “mountain” of evidence understood.
